Royal County Lotto player just one number away from winning €3,757,726 jackpot

Check those Lotto Plus Raffle numbers! 108 players won €9,759 in Saturday night’s draw

Residents in the Oldcastle area of Co. Meath are being asked to check their Lotto tickets carefully today after one player scooped €61,959 in last night’s draw. The Royal county ticket holder matched five numbers and the bonus which meant they were just one number shy of winning the €3,757,726 jackpot on offer in last night’s draw.

The winning ticket was purchased on Saturday 25th April at Millbrook service station in Millbrook, Oldcastle, Co. Meath.

The winning numbers for last night’s (Saturday 1st May) Lotto draw were: 01, 04, 16, 23, 26, 35 and the bonus was 31.

Saturday night’s Lotto draw also saw 108 players get a massive boost to their winnings as the National Lottery topped up the Lotto Plus Raffle with an additional €1 million. The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 80 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw. Last night, there were 108 Raffle winners which meant the boosted prize fund divided out to a prize of €9,759 for each Raffle winner.

The winning Lotto Plus Raffle number was: 0311

The winning ticket holders are advised to sign the back of their tickets and check www.lottery.ie for details of their nearest An Post Prize Claim Centre where prizes up to €14,999 can be claimed. Alternatively, they can contact the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie. Online players will receive notification of the process for claiming their prizes.

While there was no winner of last night’s €3,757,726 jackpot, over 109,000 players won prizes across Lotto and Lotto Plus games. Wednesday night’s (5th May) Lotto jackpot will now roll to an estimated €4 million.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We are urging all Lotto players in Co. Meath to check their tickets carefully today as one lucky player has a ticket worth €61,959. The Rebel county winner should sign the back of their ticket and contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.”

The spokesperson added: “Last night’s draw marked our second Lotto Plus Raffle promotion of the year and saw 108 lucky winners benefiting from the boosted prize fund. Instead of receiving €500 as is the typical prize for the Lotto Plus Raffle, each of these winners will now claim €9,759 after €1 million was guaranteed to be won in the Raffle for Saturday night.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
