Fuel Stop Turns into First-Class Dreams as Dublin Syndicate Claims €500,000 EuroMillions Plus Prize
23/10/2026
The clock is ticking for one Lotto winner in Co. Clare, with today marking the final day to claim a prize of €89,430.
The National Lottery is making one last appeal to the holder of an unclaimed winning Lotto ticket purchased in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, ahead of today's claim deadline. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at McNamee's Londis, Bank Place, Miltown Malbay on the day of the Lotto draw on Saturday, 25th July.
National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O'Dwyer urged players to carry out one final search for the ticket:
"Today is the final opportunity for this winner to come forward and claim their €89,430 Lotto prize. The ticket was purchased during the height of summer in one of Clare's busiest tourist spots, so we're appealing not only to local players but also to anyone who may have been visiting or passing through the area at the time to check their tickets once more.
If you've checked before, check again. Look through old jackets, handbags, wallets, the car, kitchen drawers, holiday luggage and anywhere a Lotto ticket could have been tucked away. The winning ticket could still be hiding in plain sight and it's worth €89,430 to the person holding it. We would love to unite the winner with their prize before today's deadline passes."
The winning numbers for the Lotto draw on 25th July were: 23, 24, 25, 42, 43, 46 and the Bonus was 37.
All National Lottery ticket holders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize, which means the Clare winner has until close of business today to claim, meaning there are just hours left to claim this prize.
If the winner is holding the ticket, they should sign the back of it immediately and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to begin the claims process.
Fuel Stop Turns Into First Class Dreams as Dublin Syndicate Claims €500,000 EuroMillions Plus Prize
A family syndicate from Dublin is celebrating after a pit stop in Trim, Co. Meath led to a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize win. The group were passing through the town when they called in for fuel and decided to add a Quick Pick for that night’s EuroMillions Plus draw to their pit stop.
"We were just passing through and stopped for fuel. I decided to buy a Quick Pick for that night’s EuroMillions Plus draw and before I knew it, I was staring at a ticket worth €500,000. My partner was away when I found out, so I didn't know what to do with myself. My mind was spiraling, thinking about everything from what we could do with the money to what car I might buy!"
The syndicate spent the weekend carrying around what may have been Dublin's biggest secret, with only the group aware that they were suddenly €500,000 richer. For now, they've decided to keep the news to themselves, enjoying the excitement of having their own secret while they get used to the reality of the win.
"Since the win, we've been acting like nothing had happened, although we've definitely had a pep in our step! We'll share the news with family and friends in time, but for now we're enjoying having our own little secret."
The syndicate took no chances with the winning ticket, storing it away safely while counting down the days until they could claim their prize. Looking ahead, they already have plans to use part of the win to enhance an upcoming holiday.
"The ticket spent a few days tucked away safely in a sock drawer and I was constantly checking on it. Every time I'd take it out I'd think, 'I can't believe how much this ticket is worth! ' We're heading away on holidays soon, so we'll definitely be upgrading our trip. I think first-class flights might have to be on the cards and we'll certainly be treating ourselves to a few upgrades along the way."
Tonight’s EuroMillions Jackpot is an estimated €70 Million. Players dreaming of winning big are reminded that tickets can be purchased nationwide in-store, through the National Lottery app or online at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
