After the installation of the National Lottery app, the first time you go to play a game, you will be asked to allow the app to have access to your location. This is because only users in the Republic of Ireland are allowed play our games. To play, you must select “Allow”.
However, if you are receiving this error message (shown below) after allowing the application access to you location, you should check if the phone has the correct permissions allowed for the app.
To do this, open the phone’s settings. (Seen here in the menu on the top right)
And then navigate to the “Apps” menu
Find and select the National Lottery application
Ensure the “Location” option is set to on as shown below.
If the location error message still persists however, you may need to set your GPS to high accuracy. To do this, again go the phone’s settings.
Go to the “Connections” menu (or similar) on the phone
Select the “Location” option
Select “Locating method”
Ensure the option “High Accuracy” is selected, and not “Device only”.
Accept the prompt below. This should now enable the National Lottery App to successfully find your location.
