Jackpot Joy
It was all cheers and celebrations at Lottery HQ, as the Lotto Jackpot winner has claimed their €2,935,144 fortune! The Lotto Jackpot worth an incredible €2,935,144 was won on Wednesday, 12th February’s main Lotto draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Applegreen Rathcoole, Co, Dublin on the day of the draw.
Speaking on the win, the Dublin winner said:
“You always have an image in your head of what you would do if you won – I can safely say that has now gone out of the window” While the winner has no immediate plans for the win, they will continue to live life as normal as possible and are looking forward to treating family and friends.
Double Cork Delight
Our first of two Cork winners was a woman who was in fine spirits to be at Lottery HQ, as she collected a cheque for an incredible €31,678 after matching 5 numbers and the bonus on Wednesday, 5th February’s main Lotto draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Coleman’s Store, Minor Row, Millstreet, Co. Cork.
Delighted with the win, the Cork woman told the National Lottery:
“I am so glad to have finally made it to Lottery HQ! As you can imagine, I’ve been keeping a safe eye on my ticket all this time – constantly thinking of all the scenarios as to how it could go missing! I am delighted with today’s win and I’m looking forward to doing some home improvements!”
Finally, the second Cork winner claimed €50,000 in the all-new Crossword Mystery Multiplier Scratch Card, that launched in store last month. She purchased her winning Scratch Card from Doney’s Spar, Main Street, Castletownroche, Co. Cork.
Speaking to the National Lottery, the winner said:
“This Scratch Card has travelled all over Mallow. I brought it to my local shop to have it checked – they told me I had won big, and I should contact the National Lottery. In total disbelief, I went to another shop – they said the same thing. I then brought it to the post office – and they said the same thing. It then finally sunk in that I had really won big!"
Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson said:
“**Over €3,000,000 in prizes were claimed today at Lottery HQ. Players dreaming of becoming Ireland’s newest EuroMillions winner are reminded that tickets for Tuesday night’s draw can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at http://www.lottery.ie.**”
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2023 alone, €227.9 Million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
