Saturday night’s Lotto draw gave a player in Dublin plenty to celebrate this Bank Holiday weekend after they won the staggering €8,726,418 Jackpot.
The Dublin player, who is certain to be celebrating today, took the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of the year to date.
The winning numbers for Saturday’s Lotto draw (2nd May) were: 01, 07, 27, 28, 34, 42 and the bonus was 26.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning retail location will be announced on Wednesday 6th May.
Meanwhile, a player in Westmeath also had a Saturday night to remember after matching five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €146,878. The Midlands player purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket on Thursday 30th April at The Grove Service Station in Baylough, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr had the following advice for players: “What a weekend it’s been for National Lottery players all over the country! A Lotto player in Dublin has officially become Ireland’s newest Millionaire after winning Saturday night’s Lotto Jackpot worth an impressive €8,726,418. We are encouraging all of our players in the Capital to carefully check their tickets today as one player now holds the title of second Lotto Jackpot winner of 2026.”
“Saturday night’s draw also saw a Westmeath player win €146,878 after matching five numbers and the bonus in the main draw. Over 101,000 players nationwide won prizes across the Lotto and Plus draws on Saturday night, including the Dublin and Westmeath winners. The two biggest winners of the night are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them safe. They should contact the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters to collect their prizes.”
