Three Counties, Three Wins: Wexford, Kildare and Kerry Players Collect More Than €350,000 in Lotto Prizes

Three National Lottery players from Wexford, Kildare, and Kerry have recently visited the Winners Room collecting prizes worth a combined €352,032.

A Wexford syndicate has claimed an incredible €191,677 prize after matching five numbers plus the Bonus in the Lotto draw on Wednesday, 12th August. Their winning ticket was purchased at XL Gorey, 70 Main Street, Gorey, Co. Wexford.

The syndicate, who has been playing the same set of numbers for years, said the winning combination was inspired by a mix of family birthdays and house numbers. One member recalled the moment they realised they had won: "I sat down with a coffee the morning after the draw to check the ticket. When I saw the result, I genuinely thought I was mistaken. I checked it five times, walked away, came back again and checked it another few times. I just couldn't believe it!"

Still in shock, the winner immediately contacted the rest of the syndicate members to share the news, but convincing them proved to be another challenge. "I rang the syndicate straight away, but nobody believed me at first. We were all trying to get our heads around it. It's one of those moments you dream about but never really expect to happen."

While the syndicate plans to take some time before making any major decisions, one idea is already top of the list. "We've always talked about going to Vietnam and now it looks like that dream could become a reality. A trip next year is definitely something we'll be looking at."

Kildare Lotto Win

A Kildare online syndicate also enjoyed a memorable visit to Lottery HQ after winning €123,836 in the Saturday 29th August Lotto draw after matching five numbers and the bonus. The syndicate discovered their newfound fortune after receiving an email notification about the win.

"I got an email about the win and assumed it was something small. When I logged into my account, I got a real shock. I was double and triple-checking the amount because I genuinely thought there had to be some mistake.

I took a screenshot straight away and dropped it into our syndicate group chat. Within minutes, the chat had completely exploded. There were messages flying in from every direction as the news began to sink in. Nobody could quite believe what they were seeing.

Before long, we were all on a video call together trying to make sense of it. Some of us were laughing, some were speechless, and everyone was asking the same thing: 'Is this actually real?' The winner shared the good news with family members, who were delighted by the surprise win. With the prize now officially claimed, the Kerry player is looking forward to planning a family holiday.

"That's the exciting part now," they said. "We haven't decided where we'll go yet, so it's a blank canvas. We can sit down together and choose somewhere special."
