Roscommon on a Roll! Telly Bingo Delivers Second Big Win in a Week!
Could You Be Ireland’s Next Multi-Millionaire? €155 Million Estimated EuroMillions Jackpot Tonight!
16/05/2025
Roscommon’s Telly Bingo players are on a winning streak, with another player celebrating a major win this week. In today’s draw (16th May), one player from the west struck gold by scooping the Snowball prize worth an incredible €65,005.
The winning ticket, which landed the Top Prize by achieving a full house in 51 calls or less, was purchased at Tesco, Market Yard, Harrison Centre, Roscommon Town, Co. Roscommon.
This latest win follows closely on the heels of another Roscommon success just last week (8th May), when a player took home €50,005. That winning ticket was bought at Newsround, Barrack Street, Ballaghaderreen.
The Snowball prize in Telly Bingo is one of the game's most thrilling features. It starts at a set amount of €10,000 and increases with each draw until someone wins it by marking off all numbers on their bingo card within a specific number of calls. Players who achieve a Full House on or before the 45th call win an additional €10,000. If there is no winner, the Snowball number increases by one and €5,000 is added to the prize until it is won.
Emma Monaghan, National Lottery Spokesperson said: “What a fantastic way to kickstart your weekend with a €65,005 win! Following last week’s Roscommon win, the National Lottery topped up the Telly Bingo prize fund by €30,000, so players were in for an extra treat. A huge congratulations to our latest winner!”
The National Lottery Prize Claims team can confirm that the Roscommon player has already made contact and arrangements are underway for them to claim their prize.
Meanwhile, tonight’s EuroMillions is packed with chances to win incredible prizes. Not only does the Jackpot of an estimated €155 Million remain up for grabs, but Irish players are in with a chance of winning an additional €250,000.
For the entirety of the month of May, EuroMillions players in Ireland will have the chance to win a massive €250,000 in all nine draws. With five more prizes of €250,000 to be won, and previous winners from Dublin, Meath, Limerick, and Wicklow, the excitement builds as we wonder where will the next winner come from?
Players dreaming of becoming Ireland’s newest EuroMillions winner are reminded that tickets for tonight’s draw can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at http://www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut off.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2023 alone, €227.9 Million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
