From €5,000 to €255,000 - Dublin Trio Celebrates Unbelievable EuroMillions Win!
First Winners of the EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle Prizes Claims Cheque at Lottery HQ
13/05/2025
EuroMillions players in Ireland have an amazing opportunity to win an additional €250,000 this month, and our first winners, a syndicate of three from Dublin, were left stunned when their €5,000 raffle prize skyrocketed to a dazzling €255,000. Their winning ticket for Friday, 2nd May EuroMillions draw was purchased from SuperValu Killester, Howth Road, Dublin 3.
This series of special EuroMillions Ireland-Only Raffles guarantees players a top up in the prize fund for all nine draws, every Tuesday and Friday, over the month. Typically, every EuroMillions draw produces ten winners of the €5,000 Ireland-Only Raffle prize, but this month, in addition to the normal Raffle prize, one winner in each draw will win a dazzling €250,000 on top of the usual €5,000 Raffle prize.
“I checked the ticket initially thinking we won €5,000 since the raffle codes matched. I picked up the phone and called the two boys to tell them the news, and we were all pretty happy with that” the ticketholder recalled. “But then, I went back and scanned the ticket online and saw 'You’ve won €250,000'. I thought surely that’s not right? So, I re-scanned it once more and it was still there! I had to call them back straight away. We were over the moon!”
One member chimed in “I thought he was phoning me back to say it was all a joke!” With a few restless nights, and one sleeping not-so-soundly with the winning ticket hidden under their mattress, the trio celebrated their win in the Winners Room.
When asked how they’re planning to enjoy their newfound riches, one added, “You’d swear my car knows that I won a sum of money because it’s just starting to give up on me, so I suppose a new car is on the list” he laughed. “But seriously, this win means so much to us!” “I’m really looking forward to being able to look after my family – we're a large family between children and grandchildren, so it’s nice to be able to do that” one member added.
With six incredible prizes of €250,000 still up for grabs, anticipation is growing. Previous winners from Dublin, Meath and Limerick, the excitement builds ahead of tonight’s draw as we eagerly await to see where the next winner will emerge. Will it be you? Players are reminded that tickets for tonight's draw can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at http://www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut off.
