The National Lottery are reminding players dreaming of midweek celebrations that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening.

A Dublin man was still feeling the shock arriving to the Winners Room to pick up his €30,000 cheque after scooping the top prize amount on a €3 All Cash Tripler Scratch Card. He purchased the winning Scratch Card at Cards n Things at Unit 17/18 in Citywest Shopping Centre in Dublin 24.
“I was watching television with my wife when I scratched the ticket, and I just turned to her and said, ‘I think I’ve won €30,000!’ She knew I wasn’t having her on when she saw the look on my face. I immediately jumped out of the chair and ran into the kitchen to stick on the big light to have a better look. I went about finding the perfect hiding spot immediately and settled on a fluffy dog ornament that we keep in our room – no one would be looking there!”
Travel was already on the top prize winners mind, but he has a clear idea now of how to kick off his itinerary.
“The ultimate dream is to buy a camper van. We told ourselves that we wouldn’t fly anywhere this year as we plan to make the most of seeing Ireland so this could be perfect timing.”
Meanwhile. an online player from Roscommon won €50,000 on the €5 Instant Win Game, Digital Wordplay Mystery Multiplier.
“It took me about an hour to ring my husband to tell him because I wanted to be certain. I think I’ll be using the win to make a very important investment for myself…I’m calling it an investment but really, this is the perfect opportunity to buy myself a handbag that I never would have even considered before. A family holiday is definitely next on the list though.”
A Dublin woman picked up a €500,000 cheque following her top prize win in the EuroMillions Plus draw on 17th February. Her winning ticket was purchased at Dunnes Stores in the Square Shopping Centre in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
“I checked my ticket and immediately got my son to double check as I really couldn’t believe it. I told my partner and we were all just in total disbelief. It still doesn’t feel real but the first thing I plan to do is book a holiday as soon as possible!”
A Cork syndicate were delighted to claim their €161,198 prize which they won in the 20th February EuroMillions draw after matching five numbers and one lucky star. Their winning ticket was purchased at Mace Sallybrook in Glanmire, Cork.
“We’ll be using this to take our dream trip to America and, of course, there’s a few home renovations planned too!”
