One syndicate member described the moment they realied they were holding the winning ticket and how they would now keep the all-important ticket safe.
“I nearly fell off my chair when I realised we had won after we checked our ticket! Everyone was absolutely thrilled, but then the panic set in about keeping the ticket safe. We initially put it in a safe, but we soon started overthinking that, so I passed it on to another syndicate member for safekeeping. In the end, it was hidden away in their attic because none of us wanted to take any chances!"
The family now have a range of plans for their share of the prize, including a weekend away, a new car and helping loved ones.
"More than anything, we're looking forward to celebrating together. We're a very close family and love getting together, so we'll definitely have to organise something special that we can all enjoy. That's what makes the win even more meaningful."
