Dreaming of becoming Ireland’s latest winner? This May, EuroMillions players in Ireland have an amazing opportunity to win an additional €250,000! With seven incredible prizes of €250,000 up for grabs, anticipation is growing. Previous winners from Dublin and Meath have already tasted victory, and now the excitement builds as we eagerly await to see where tonight's winner will emerge. Will it be you?
This series of special EuroMillions Ireland-Only Raffles guarantees players a top up in the prize fund for all nine draws, every Tuesday and Friday, over the month. Typically, every EuroMillions draw produces ten winners of the €5,000 Ireland-Only Raffle prize, but this month, we have created something extra special. In addition to the normal Raffle prize, one winner in each draw in May will win a dazzling €250,000 on top of the usual €5,000 Raffle prize.
Players are reminded that tickets for tonight's draw can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at http://www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut off.
Meanwhile, a syndicate of five from Co. Cork had their glory moment in the Winners Room this week as they claimed a cheque worth a staggering €500,000 after winning the EuroMillions Plus top prize on 29th April. Their all-important ticket was purchased from Lidl, Youghal, Co. Cork.
“We’re truly a mix of hopefuls and sceptics. The family syndicate has been running for years, and I’d confidently say we’re regular players who’ve held out for a big win like this!” said the head of the syndicate, beaming with joy. One member recalled the moment he found out they had the winning ticket. “It was the day after the draw, and I remembered to check my ticket. One by one, the numbers started to match, and I just couldn’t believe it. I was in complete shock. While I’ve dreamt about the excitement of winning for so long, I carried on my day like normal - it was certainly a delayed reaction when I think back!” The syndicate plan on putting their fortunes towards a trip around Ireland and Europe to create unforgettable memories, while one member hopes to add solar panels to his home.
A Dubliner also claimed his prize of €31,778 after matching five numbers plus the bonus in the 30th April Lotto draw. As someone who often dreams of holding a winning ticket, he was thrilled to see the email notification shortly after the draw. Choosing to savour the moment, he waited a few days before validating the ticket, leading to a delightful surprise.
