Previous €250M Roll in June Raised over €5M for Good Causes across Ireland.
19/08/2025
The EuroMillions Jackpot is once again nearing its cap of a staggering €250 Million, setting the stage for another potential life-changing draw. With memories still fresh from June’s extraordinary win, Irish players are asking, can lightning really strike twice?
Back in June, the EuroMillions Jackpot was capped at €250 Million on Friday, 6th June, and just over a week later, on Tuesday, 17th June, a ticketholder from Ireland scooped the top prize.
That unforgettable win was claimed by a family syndicate, who bought their ticket during a quick stop at Clifford’s Centra on Shandon Street, Co. Cork. After scanning it on the National Lottery app, they were totally stunned to see the message “You’ve won big." Despite the €250 Million windfall, the family vowed to stay grounded, “It’ll still be ham and cheese sambos for lunch!” one member laughed.
That €250 Million Jackpot roll, which ran from 6th June to 17th June, resulted in a win for wider Ireland, with:
• €254,967,592 total prize money won by Irish players
• 388,504 prizes won by Irish winners across all prize tiers (EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus games)
• A remarkable €5.2 Million raised for Good Causes
With tonight’s EuroMillions Jackpot at an eye-watering €250 Million (estimated), excitement is building. Players dreaming of becoming Ireland’s newest Multi-Millionaire are reminded that tickets for tonight’s draw can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at http://www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3 Million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
