Could a EuroMillions player in Ireland be celebrating BIG this weekend? Friday’s Jackpot is a GUARANTEED €130 Million!
“Beyond my wildest dreams!” – Dublin man claims €1,005,000 EuroMillions Raffle prize

This Friday’s EuroMillions draw is set to see the jackpot soar to a GUARANTEED €130 Million. Since the EuroMillions game launched in Ireland in 2004, there have been 19 Irish EuroMillions jackpot winners. If tomorrow night’s (20th February) staggering €130 million jackpot is won in Ireland, we could see a new Irish winner added to the roll call of jackpot wins.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr had the following advice for players dreaming big for Friday night’s draw: “So far this year, the EuroMillions game has seen 3 players from Cork and Dublin win the top prize of €500,000 each in the Plus draw. Last Friday, a Dublin man became the first National Lottery millionaire of 2026 after winning €1,005,000 in the special EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle. Could this Friday’s Mega draw see another player in Ireland win big with the jackpot set at a guaranteed €130 million? Players dreaming of becoming the next big EuroMillions winner are reminded that tickets can be purchased nationwide in-store, through our app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales on Friday evening.”
Meanwhile, the Dublin man who scooped last Friday’s special EuroMillions Ireland Only Raffle prize was thrilled to pick up his cheque this week in Lottery Headquarters. The 13th February winner scooped €1,005,000 after purchasing his ticket at the Spar store at 122 Drumcondra Road Upper in Dublin 9.
“I went the entire weekend not knowing just how much I had won. It wasn’t until I spoke to the Claims team the following Monday that I knew I had a ticket worth €1,005,000. I thought it was €5,000 which I was delighted with, so winning this really has been beyond my wildest dreams. I was excited to hear that I am the first National lottery millionaire of the year – what a title to hold! I already have a few home renovations planned, but the big thing I would love to do is a trip around the world. I might start in Thailand and then go from there!”
Another Dublin EuroMillions player dropped into the Winners Room this week to collect their Match 5 prize worth €95,070, which they won in the 27th January draw after purchasing their ticket at the Spar store on Upper Leeson Street in Dublin 4.
“I hadn’t played in a few weeks, and I saw that the jackpot was close to hitting €110 million that night so that was my prompt to pick up a ticket. I checked the results after the draw that night and it was completely overwhelming. I am hoping to buy a house in the near future, so perfect timing.”
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
