In addition to the chance of winning the top prize of €20,000 per month for 30 years, in Ireland only, one player is guaranteed to win at least €2,000 every month for 5 years. For Thursday’s draw, we would expect to see well in excess of 30,000 prize winners across all tiers in Ireland and one of these players will be entered into the draw for this unique prize. Unlike other lottery games, EuroDreams offers annuity prizes which are paid in tax-free monthly payments.”

EuroDreams – Special Leap Day Promotion: One Guaranteed winner of €2,000 per month for 5 years.

How will it work:

On Thursday 29th February, any prize winner on any prize tier in the EuroDreams game in Ireland will be entered into a special draw. One of these winners will win the guaranteed annuity prize of €2,000 every month for 5 years, in addition to their usual prize.

How does this bonus draw work?
Each and every winning ticket in Thursday’s (29th February) EuroDreams draw will be entered into a total pool of EuroDreams winners in Ireland and we will utilise a our certified RNG (Random Number Generator) to select one of those winners who will, in addition to the usual prize they have won, also win an extra €2,000 per month for 5 years. As with every National Lottery draw, this will be independently observed by our independent monitors, KPMG.

What do I have to do to enter?

Purchase your EuroDreams ticket in the usual manner, whether in retail or via our digital channels, and if you’re a winner of any prize in the main draw you’ll also be entered into this bonus draw promotion to win that super bonus annuity prize.

How will I know if I’m the winner?

If you are drawn as the promotional winner with a retail ticket, that winning ticket will be placed on hold. When your ticket is scanned on the National Lottery App or in-store on a National Lottery terminal, a prompt requiring you to make contact with the National Lottery will clearly be displayed.

For digital players, the usual prize for which you were a winner will be credited to your online balance or direct to your card. For the special bonus prize, the National Lottery will contact you directly via phone or email to share the good news.

On the night of the draw, the National Lottery will publish the exact winning location of the special winning ticket.

Are the annuity prizes tax free?

Yes, an annuity prize is a National Lottery Prize and therefore the regular payments are tax free for the recognised individual winner for the duration of the policy (please note this is subject to the applicable tax laws in force).

Can I play the EuroDreams game as part of a syndicate?

No. The nature of the annuity prize means that only one winner is recognised and only one annuity policy is created in that winner’s name. The National Lottery will recognise one winner and the prize paid to that winner is tax free. Consequently, the EuroDreams game is not suitable for syndicate play.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language.
