Cavan Woman Bags Second €30,000 Scratch Card Win in a Matter of Months

A lucky Cavan mother-to-be has nabbed herself a €30,000 National Lottery scratch card win just months after she won the top prize on the same game in May 2017.

Nikkol O’Reilly (24) from Mountnugent in Co.Cavan struck gold when she won the top prize of €30,000 on the €3 National Lottery All Cash Tripler scratch card.

“I think I’m the talk of the town at the moment! Nobody believes I could be this lucky,” said the expectant mother.

Nikkol purchased her winning All Cash Tripler scratch card at the Post Office in Oldcastle in Co. Meath.

“Every Friday, I go into town to pay some bills and I occasionally treat myself to a scratch card. After my last scratch card win, I was told not to buy the same scratch card again because there is no way Oldcastle (Co. Meath) could be lucky enough to have yet another win!” she laughed.

While Nikkol stated that she had been sensible with her previous €30,000 scratch card prize, she says that all of her spending plans will centre on the arrival of her new baby which is due in a matter of months:

“It’s a different win for me this time around as I am now expecting a baby so my priorities have completely changed. I didn’t go mad with my last win and I only really treated myself to a nice car and a few bits here and there. I still have some money left over from it so I will be putting it all together and we’ll hopefully look at putting it towards a mortgage at some stage in the near future,” she added.

Two further National Lottery prize winners from Laois and Galway have also claimed a combined €65,000 in scratch card prizes. A lucky Laois lady pocketed €40,000 after she bought a winning €10 Money Multiplier 40 X scratch card at Browns Grocers in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Another Galway man will clear off all of his loans and upgrade his car after he scratched up a €25,000 on a €10 All Cash Spectacular scratch card. The winning ticket was purchased at Newsweek Newsagency in the Westside Shopping Centre in Co. Galway.
