Carlow Lotto syndicate cause a splash

A delighted Lotto syndicate of colleagues from Graiguecullen Swimming Pool in Co. Carlow were in buoyant form in the National Lottery winners’ room today as they collected a cheque for a cool €47,692.

The 47 strong syndicate pooled their resources to claim the Match 5 + Bonus prize in the Lotto draw on Wednesday 17th May. The winning Quick Pick ticket was sold on the day of the draw at Callinans Day Today Store in Graiguecullen, Co. Carlow.

Syndicate leader, Dyane Hogan expressed her delight with her syndicates win:

“There was great excitement in Graiguecullen Town after Wednesday night’s Lotto draw. The word went around the community that a big Lotto prize had been won in the local shop so there was a bit of panic to make sure the tickets were checked. Managing a Lotto syndicate of 47 members is a lot of work but it made it all the sweeter when we had to ring around to tell them all the good news.”

“It’s a great way to have a lottery win, as a syndicate. We are the best of friends and I’m sure we will throw a party to celebrate over the weekend,” she added.
