Record €50k Prize won on 100 Grand Instant Win Game

One lucky Dublin man scratched off 2018 in style as he pocketed a record €50,000 win on a National Lottery online scratch card.

The online player who wishes to keep his win private played the 100 Grand scratch card game on the National Lottery website on Friday 29th December.

The occasional online player said that it was his first time to play an online scratch card game and he initially could not believe his good fortune:

“Sometimes I do Lotto and EuroMillions online but I had never played one of these scratch card games before. I was checking the EuroMillions results that night and said I’d give one of the games a go!"

The National Lottery 100 Grand online Instant Win Game costs €10 to play and still has an outstanding top prize of €100,000 up for grabs. The game is available to play on the National Lottery App or on www.lottery.ie

The delighted Dublin man added that the win added to his New Year’s celebrations, with the knowledge that he would not be facing into a bleak January:

“We had a lovely New Year celebration knowing that I had a €50,000 cheque waiting for me in the National Lottery offices this week. The family will obviously get some treats and we’ve already started looking at holidays to get away from this dreary weather,” he smiled.
