Take a break from the National Lottery

Are online games or draws playing too large a part in your life? Our take a break feature onsite gives you the option of blocking yourself from your account for a minimum of one month up to 5 years or you can choose a permanent closure.

How does it work?

You can choose to take a break from your National Lottery account for minimum of one month up to 5 years.

If you decide to do this, your account will be closed and inaccessible for the period you select. Additionally, we will not send you any messages, or marketing notifications.

Permanent account Closure

You can choose to permanently exclude from your National Lottery account. If you decide to do this, your account will be closed and will be permanently inaccessible. You will be prevented from ever holding an account with the National Lottery. We will not send you any messages, or marketing notifications.

Who should take a break?

If you feel you are spending too much time or money on the site, take a break.

What happens to my winnings?

If you have funds in your account at the time of closure we will return the balance to you by cheque.

What happens after the break ends?

Your account will remain closed until you decide to reopen it. If you decide to reopen your account you will need to contact Customer support, they will take you through the process of reopening your account. This may include a chat with our player protection team.
