Sensational Kids is a charity and social enterprise that provides developmental therapies to children and young people with additional needs across Ireland. Operating from four Child Development Centres in Kildare, Cork, Mayo and Monaghan, their team provides occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, play therapy, educational psychology and autism assessments, offering subsidised and fully funded support to families who would otherwise face long waiting lists or unaffordable private fees.
Sensational Kids are Community Legends for their unwavering dedication to ensuring every child in Ireland can access the therapy they need, regardless of their family's means. Judges were deeply impressed by the scale and quality of what this organisation has built, four therapy centres and over 10,000 children receiving therapy to date. In a country where thousands of children are waiting for occupational therapy and speech and language services, Sensational Kids have provided a much-needed service for young people.
