“We only set up our syndicate 7 months ago”
There was plenty of cheering and celebrating in the National Lottery’s winners' room this afternoon (Wednesday7th September) when a work syndicate of nineteen from Broderick’s in Co. Dublin claimed their EuroMillions match 5 plus lucky star ticket worth €193,667.
Head of the group syndicate Alison Ennis revealed the story behind the winning ticket:
“We’ve been running this syndicate since February, so it’s only 7 months old! I’m the one in charge of collecting the money and purchasing the tickets each week. On the night of the draw I was looking at tickets and I realised on the last line of the ticket we’d won! I took a picture of it and sent it into our syndicate group chat and the chat started hopping! We couldn’t believe it! Everyone was absolutely buzzing and getting sharing pictures celebrating in their own homes that night”, she recounted.
