Wicklow online Lotto player scoops €98,793 – one number short of €3.6 million jackpot
A lucky online Lotto player from Co. Wicklow has won a cool €98,793 on last night’s Lotto draw after matching five numbers and the bonus ball, falling just one number shy of winning the entire jackpot worth €3,691,592.
The Lotto numbers from last night’s draw (Wednesday 9th September) were: 22, 23, 27, 30, 42, 46 and the bonus number was: 43.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We are asking all our online players in Wicklow to check their email inboxes or National Lottery accounts to see if they are this lucky prize winner. An automatic notification and email communication will have gone to them with this brilliant news. While there was no winner of last night’s €3.6 million Lotto jackpot, there were more than 67,000 players in Ireland who won prizes. This Saturday’s Lotto jackpot (12th September) will roll to an estimated €4 million.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
