Wicklow online Lotto player taps into €250,000 fortune

Wicklow online Lotto player has won €250,000

A lucky Lotto player in Co. Wicklow is waking up today €250,000 richer after winning the top prize on last night’s Lotto Plus 2 draw (Wednesday 7th October).

The winning ticket was sold online to a player with their address registered in Co. Wicklow. This is the eight Lotto Plus 2 prize worth a quarter of a million won so far in 2020 with all of those wins totalling €2 million.

The National Lottery said that the lucky winner has been notified by email. A spokesperson advised: “We’d encourage all of our Wicklow-based Lotto players to check their National Lottery accounts and their emails. One lucky Wicklow person will have a nice email informing them of their big win and if this person logs into their Lottery account they will also be notified of their slice of luck. We’d advise the winner to contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements to get your prize.”

The winning Lotto Plus 2 numbers are: 13, 16, 23, 24, 25, 26 and the bonus ball is: 32.

The spokesperson continued: “With more than 71,000 players winning prizes on last night’s draw it was a lucky night for many Lotto players across the country so even though the night’s biggest winner was in Wicklow we would encourage everyone to check those tickets carefully. As there was no winner of last night’s €3,146,920 Lotto jackpot, this Saturday’s jackpot will roll to an estimated €3.5 million”.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
