The West’s Awake as €500,000 EuroMillions ticket sold in Galway City
Someone in the West will certainly be awake this morning as the National Lottery is appealing EuroMillions players in Galway City to check their tickets after a prize worth €500,000 was sold in a newsagents near Eyre Square.
This winning Quick Pick ticket was bought at the XL Newsagents in the Eyre Square Shopping Centre, in Galway city centre.
This is the 24th EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 won in Ireland so far this year, with all 24 winners sharing a whopping €12 million on this game alone.
The winning numbers from last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw are: 08, 09, 11, 13 and 35.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “While there was no winner of last night’s EuroMillions MegaDraw jackpot of €130,000,000, more than 89,000 players in Ireland were prize winners so we are calling on everyone across the country to check their tickets. However the biggest winner of the night was our €500,000 EuroMillions Plus winner so to everyone who bought a ticket for last night’s draw around the Eyre Square area in Galway, we’d encourage them to check those tickets carefully. If you are this lucky winner please sign the back of the ticket and get in touch with the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to get your prize”.
Dublin online player scores €41,894 prize
Meanwhile, another ticket in Ireland matched five numbers on the main EuroMillions draw and won the tidy sum of €41,894. This ticket was bought online by a player in Dublin. The National Lottery spokesperson explained that this lucky Dubliner will have been sent an email of their win.
“Our lucky €41,894 winner will have been sent an email informing them of their win so for our online players in Dublin we’d encourage you to check those emails or log on to your National Lottery account to see if you are the winner. If this is you we ask that you call our claims team on the same number as above - 1800 666 222”.
Next Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot (24th November) is heading for a mind-blowing €145 million (estimated).
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
