Westmeath player scores €500,000 in Tuesday night’s EuroMillions Plus draw

TEN players also scoop €50,000 each in special raffle draw

The National Lottery is urging EuroMillions players in Athlone in Co. Westmeath to check their tickets today after Tuesday night's EuroMillions draw produced a winner of the EuroMillions Plus top prize worth a massive €500,000. The winning ticket which is now worth a half million euro was sold on the day of the draw (22nd November) at Tuthill’s newsagents in the Golden Island Shopping Centre, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

Manager of the store, Joe Callinan, was delighted to get the call that his store sold the winning ticket: “This is our first big win, so we’re absolutely over the moon. We’re a small little store located in the busy Golden Island Shopping Centre, so we’re kept going! Locals have told me that the previous store that was here before sold a big win on a National Lottery ticket a couple of years back, so we must be in a good spot!”, he said.

“I’m sure we’ll be swamped with customers and enquiries over the next couple of days, so we’re very much looking forward to that. We want to wish the winners all the best, and I’m sure they’ll be having a very good Christmas with their windfall of cash”, he added.

Last night’s €500,000 win in Athlone is the 24th EuroMillions Plus top prize win in Ireland in 2022. The winning numbers in Tuesday’s (22nd November) EuroMillions Plus draw were: 2, 7, 12, 36, 45.

There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot on Tuesday night which was worth over €65 Million. This means Friday’s jackpot now rolls to an estimated €75 Million.

The Westmeath ticketholder is advised to sign the back of their winning ticket and to keep it safe. The winner should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
