Saturday’s Lotto jackpot heading towards an incredible €13.5 million

Lotto players in Dublin City Centre are being encouraged to check their tickets very carefully today after one Southside player scooped €51,390 in last night’s draw. The Dublin player matched five numbers and the bonus after purchasing their winning Advanced Play Quick Pick ticket on Friday 22nd December at the Spar store on D’Olier Street in Dublin 2.

The winning numbers in the Wednesday 17th January draw were: 03, 04, 12, 13, 25, 29 and the bonus was 17.

The Match 5+Bonus winner, who now has a ticket worth €51,390, is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lotto HQ.

Last night’s Lotto draw saw over 96,000 players nationwide win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. As there was no outright winner of the €13,022,596 jackpot on offer, Saturday’s Lotto jackpot is now set to head towards an estimated €13.5 million.

Meanwhile, there were celebrations in Sligo town after the Londis store on Cleveragh Road sold a €15 All Cash Gold scratch card with a €300,000 top prize win. Shop owner Declan McCrann was thrilled to hear that one of his customers won big over the Christmas period.

“What a start to the new year for one of our customers with a visit to Lotto Headquarters to pick up a cheque for €300,000. This is our biggest win that we have ever had and for it to be on a scratch card is great because I think players sometimes assume that they’ll never win the top prize and now one of our customers is proof that it really can be anyone! We have a team of 22 working here in-store and the entire team was thrilled with the news. We are all hoping that we might see more of our customers winning big soon too!”
