Three big winners in National Lottery HQ claim over €6.8 million in prizes

Dublin Lotto player officially claims €5.3 million jackpot won at City Centre location

Three separate National Lottery players from Dublin, Mayo and Waterford are celebrating after they left Lotto HQ in Dublin with life-changing prizes worth over €6.8 million in total.

The biggest winner to set foot into the Winners Room was the Dublin Lotto jackpot winner who scooped the €5,365,262 jackpot in the Saturday 12th March draw after purchasing their winning ticket in Chapter & Verse on Lower Leeson Street in Dublin 2.

The winner, who is remaining anonymous, became the third Lotto jackpot winner of 2022 following in the footsteps of a Mayo jackpot winner in January and a Meath jackpot winner in February.

There was great excitement when a delighted family syndicate from Mayo arrived to claim the top prize amount of €1 million which they won in the 2pm Daily Million draw on 1st March. Their winning ticket, which they have been eager to travel to Dublin with, was purchased in the Corrib Oil service station in Westport, Co. Mayo.

The family have been busy discussing how to spend the life-changing amount: “We all have our own plans for exactly how we’ll spend our share of the win but one thing is for certain, we’ll all be enjoying the unexpected windfall! It really will make a huge difference as the win will go towards home deposits, some renovations and new cars. But the first thing on the list that we’re all looking forward to is a sun holiday – a nice way to celebrate indeed!”

Also walking away from the National Lottery with a cool €500,000 was an online player from Co. Waterford who collected their EuroMillions Plus top prize which they won on Friday 21st January.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2021 alone, €289 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
