Sligo has a new Lotto millionaire as €19.06 million jackpot rolls on

Players in Galway and Dublin benefit from jackpot prize roll-down who share Match 5 + Bonus prize worth over €1 million

A Lotto player in Sligo will be celebrating this morning after becoming Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaire after scooping the top prize of €1 million in last night’s Lotto Plus 1 draw. The National Lottery has said it hopes to reveal the name of the winning store which sold the €1 million Lotto Plus 1 top prize on Monday.

The winning numbers for last night’s Lotto Plus 1 draw were: 11, 15, 29, 30, 45, 47 and the bonus was 44.

Lotto players still have the chance to become the largest Lotto jackpot winner ever seen in Ireland as there was no winner of last night’s historic €19,060,800 jackpot.

As no additional funds were added to the jackpot as it remains capped, the funds that would usually go to the jackpot were instead distributed to the next prize tier at which there was a winner and in last night’s draw, this was the Match 5+Bonus category. Two players in Dublin and Galway matched 5 numbers and the bonus and will share the prize fund of €1,034,002, taking home €517,001 each.

The Dublin player played their own numbers on a Normal Play ticket which they purchased online at www.lottery.ie. The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Dublin ticket holder with information on how to claim their prize.

The Galway winner purchased their Quick Pick ticket at Murphy’s Centra store in Bóthar an Chóiste in Castlegar on the outskirts of Galway city.

The winning numbers for last night’s Lotto draw were: 07, 20, 23, 33, 36, 44 and the bonus was 10.

Michael Murphy who has run the Centra store in Castlegar since 2006 was overjoyed to hear the news that one of his customers had won a life-changing prize worth €517,001 in Saturday night’s draw. He said: “What a win this is. I am absolutely over the moon for whoever won it. What makes it really satisfying is that the vast majority of my customers are all local and knowing that one of them is a half a million euro richer this morning is fantastic. I’m looking forward to spreading the good news today and we’ll make sure that everybody in the area checks their tickets to make sure that they claim this prize. This is absolutely brilliant!”

Saturday’s Lotto and Lotto Plus draws created over 173,000 winners and the National Lottery have advised the Lotto Plus 1 winner of €1 million in Sligo and the Lotto Match 5 + Bonus winner of €517,001 from Galway to sign the back of their tickets and to keep them in a safe place.

Each of the three biggest winners from last night’s draw should contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prizes.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
