The National Lottery has announced that a winning ticket worth over €1 million from last night’s EuroMillions draw was sold in Dublin – the second such winner this week!

Last night’s EuroMillions draw was the second draw in the eagerly anticipated EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ special event which guarantees to make five brand new millionaires in Ireland over two weeks.

The ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ winning raffle code in last night’s EuroMillions draw, which is worth €1,005,000 (One Million and Five Thousand Euro) to one lucky Dublin player is: I – LLD - 48404

A National Lottery spokesperson said it will reveal the name of the winning store on Sunday and said: “Imagine how it would feel to wake up more than €1 million better off? A lucky Dubliner won’t have to imagine that this morning as they are living this dream. We are asking everyone in Dublin to check those tickets and see if their raffle code is I LLD 48404. If that code matches the one on your EuroMillions ticket then we would ask you to sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize. As with any prize win over €1 million, it is important that we inform the winning retailer and of course to give the winning ticketholder the time and space they need to let this amazing win to sink in.”

These raffle events guarantee one Irish winner of €1 million in each EuroMillions draw from 10th – 20th August. The special ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ event will come to a dramatic close on Friday 20th August when not one, but two EuroMillions players in Ireland will win a life changing €1 million each.

The first EuroMillions ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ event €1 million winning prize on Tuesday 10th August was won by an online player in Co. Wicklow. Typically, in every single EuroMillions draw, ten players in Ireland win €5,000 on the ‘Ireland Only Raffle’. In last night’s draw, an additional €1 million was added to the special raffle draw and among the ten winners of €5,000, one of those winners won the additional €1 million.

With over 74,000 Irish winners in Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot draw, the National Lottery is encouraging all of its player to check their tickets carefully. There was one winner of the €113 million jackpot on offer with the winning ticket sold in Spain.

Meanwhile, anticipation is also growing for tonight’s Lotto jackpot which heads for an estimated €10.5 million. The current Lotto jackpot has been rolling since Wednesday 9th June and the next winner will become the 6th Lotto jackpot winner of 2021. The National Lottery spokesperson added: “We expect excitement in the Lotto jackpot to build even more as we get closer to the draw which is why we are urging all of our players to avoid queues in their local shop and to purchase their tickets early in-store, in-app or at www.lottery.ie before the 7.45pm deadline tonight.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
