Lucky online player in Monaghan celebrates €500,000 EuroMillions Plus win
One lucky online player in Co. Monaghan scooped the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000 in last night’s (Tuesday 2nd March) draw. The ticket holder bought their winning Quick Pick ticket online at www.lottery.ie on the day of the draw.
The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Monaghan ticket holder who is encouraged to get in touch to begin the process of claiming their life-changing prize.
This is the second EuroMillions win for Monaghan in less than two weeks after one ticketholder was just one lucky star short of winning the €206,564,757 jackpot in the draw on Friday 19th February. The player won €177,571 after matching 5 numbers and one lucky star. The winning ticket was sold in the Spar shop at the Glen in Killygowan in Monaghan on the day of the draw.
The EuroMillions Plus numbers for last night’s draw (Tuesday 2nd March) were: 01, 09, 23, 29, 30.
While there was no winner of last night’s €17 million EuroMillions jackpot, there were over 50,000 players in Ireland who won prizes. This Friday’s EuroMillions jackpot will now roll to an estimated €30 million.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “One lucky online player is waking up half a million euro richer this morning after buying their winning EuroMillions Plus ticket yesterday at www.lottery.ie. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
