Midweek win worth €83,701 for Dublin Lotto player

The National Lottery has confirmed that it will be adding €1 Million to the Lotto Plus Raffle prize fund for this Saturday’s draw (19th August). The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 60 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw but this weekend, ONE player is set for a boost in their winnings.

Each of the tickets with the winning Lotto Plus Raffle number drawn in Saturday night’s draw will be entered into a once-off random draw where one ticket will be selected to win an additional prize of €1 Million.

How do I enter the Lotto Plus €1 Million Raffle event?

Every Lotto player who purchases a ticket with the Lotto Plus option included will be automatically entered into the Lotto Plus Raffle Draw.

How does the Raffle event work?

For every Lotto Plus line purchased, players get a four-digit Raffle number. Tickets with the Raffle number drawn will win €500. This Saturday, all Raffle winners will also be entered into a random draw with one player GUARANTEED to win €1 Million in addition to the usual €500 prize.

Lotto players hoping to win the GUARANTEED to be won €1 Million Lotto Raffle prize and also dreaming of becoming the 10th Lotto Jackpot winner of the year, are reminded that the cut-off time for ticket sales is 7.45pm on Saturday night.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “This weekend is set to be life-changing with one Lotto Plus player GUARANTEED to become a Millionaire. Saturday night’s draw will see one winner of the Lotto Plus Raffle win €1 Million on top of the usual Raffle prize of €500. And that’s not the only big prize on offer! The Lotto Jackpot is heading towards an estimated €2.8 Million and if a player wins the staggering amount on Saturday night, they will officially become the 10th Lotto Jackpot winner of 2023.”

“We are reminding all of our Lotto players hoping to become a Millionaire this weekend that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.45pm cut-off time for sales on Saturday night.”

Meanwhile, a Lotto player in Dublin is celebrating this morning after scooping €83,701 in last night’s draw. The biggest winner of the night matched five numbers and the bonus after purchasing their Normal Play ticket on Monday 14th August at Centra on the Terenure Road in Dublin 6.
