“I dreamt I won the Lotto two months ago”
Family syndicate from Monaghan claim €1 Million Daily Million Prize
A family of five from Co. Monaghan claimed a whopping €1 Million at Lottery HQ today which they won in last Friday’s (21st of July) 9pm Daily Million draw.
The winning top prize ticket was sold at Flemings Super Valu, Church Square, Monaghan Town, Monaghan.
The syndicate, who wish to keep their win private, relived the moment they discovered they won the life-altering sum: “I actually dreamt I won the Lotto two months ago”, said the head syndicate member. “I won the Daily Million ticket off a Lotto ticket. I’d never normally play that game. I checked the ticket that night and nearly dropped! I needed a little tipple to calm the nerves”, she said.
“We had trouble sleeping the next few nights thinking about the win and keeping the ticket safe. We kept it hidden inside a Tommy Gorman book called Never Better, and by goodness, we really are never better now!”, laughed another syndicate member.
A trip to Las Vegas, clearing mortgages and plenty of massages are just some of the ways in which the family hope to spend their winnings.
“There really is nothing more special than being able to share a special event like this with family members. It really will make a difference to all our lives in different ways, and we’re just beyond delighted to share it with each other”, they continued.

So far this year, ELEVEN National Lottery players have scooped top prizes across the Daily Million and Plus games.
This latest win in Monaghan is the 7th time a player has scooped the Daily Million top prize worth €1 Million this year following wins in Kerry, Kildare, Dublin (2), Tipperary, Limerick and Donegal. Four players from Louth, and Dublin (3) also scooped the Daily Million Plus top prize worth €500,000.
