Meath Daily Million Player Wins €500,000

Daily Million Winner

Afternoon delight as Meath Daily Million player wins €500,000 from Ashbourne petrol station stop

A chance stop at a Meath petrol station has today made one lucky person €500,000 better off today as the National Lottery revealed that this afternoon’s Daily Million Plus top prize was won.

The National Lottery is now asking its Daily Million players in Ashbourne and the wider Meath and Dublin areas to check their tickets. The winning ticket was bought today at the Circle K Service Station in Ashbourne, Co Meath which is close to the Meath and Dublin border.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “What an incredible bit of luck for one Daily Million player who may have just, by chance, stopped to put some fuel in the car earlier today and tried their luck and bought a Daily Million ticket. We are now encouraging all our Daily Million players who may have stopped for fuel in Circle K in Ashbourne to check their tickets at lottery.ie or by using the National Lottery app to see if it is you who has won this prize. It has been a really positive day for National Lottery winners as the winner of last weekend’s €9.7 million Lotto jackpot, won in Co. Kerry, made contact earlier today. On last night’s Lotto draw, two separate Dublin online players won the Lotto Plus 2 top prize, worth €250,000, and a Lotto match five and bonus prize of €37,358.”

The winning Daily Million Plus numbers from today’s 2pm draw were: 07, 13, 19, 25, 27, 35 and the bonus number was 31.

The National Lottery spokesperson advised: “If you are this lucky winner you can contact the National Lottery prize claims team If you are the lucky winner, please sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize once restrictions are lifted due to the on-going public health emergency.”

Daily Million and Daily Million Plus draws take place at both 2pm and 9pm, seven days a week.

National Lottery Extends Prize Claims Period

The National Lottery has reminded players that it has extended the period of time that lucky winners can collect prizes to encourage people to stay at home and not require them to make any unnecessary journeys during the current public health emergency.

This means that any lucky winners of Lotto and Lotto Plus, Lotto 54321, EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus, Telly Bingo, Daily Millions and Daily Millions Plus draws from 9th January 2020 until draws in the week 5th July 2020 will have an extra three months in which they can claim their prize. The prize claims extension applies to winners who purchased their tickets and scratch card games in-store, online at www.lottery.ie and via the National Lottery App.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 32 years ago. In 2019 alone, €250 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
