It was with that thought I pulled into the next petrol station, picked up some dog food and bought a Daily Million ticket with whatever change was left over. I didn’t check the ticket for a couple of days, it just totally went out my head, but I went back to the shop a couple of days later and the girl that scanned my ticket said, you’ll have to call the National Lottery. I knew then I’d won something big enough maybe €20,000 or so. I called them up and was told I’d won €500,000! All I said back to them was, deadly! I then rang my wife to tell her the news and I was met with dead silence on the other side of the phone. For once in her life she was speechless”, laughed the winner.

When asked how they might like to spend their winnings, the winner chirped, “Well, first thing I’m going to do is go out and buy that fine looking SUV I had my eye on”, he said.
