“I think I’ve been sleeping with one eye open for the past few weeks!” – Louth Family syndicate claim over €3.5 Million

Tomorrow night’s Lotto Jackpot set to roll towards €3.8 Million estimated

It was a day for celebrations as a Louth family syndicate who scooped the €3,523,021 jackpot in the Wednesday 14th February draw claimed their life-changing amount in Lotto HQ. The Wee County winners became the 2nd Lotto Jackpot winners of the year to date after purchasing their winning ticket at Arthur’s XL shop on the Newry Road in Dundalk.

The head of the syndicate admitted that they only checked the ticket by chance after hearing that the winning ticket was sold in Louth.

“We usually check our tickets when we have a few to check at a time but the day after the draw, I heard on the radio that it was a Louth winner so I said I might as well see. Never in a million years did I think that it would turn out to be the golden ticket! I think my head was in a spin after realising just how much the ticket was worth. It definitely became a big worry of how to keep the ticket safe and not let anything happen to it. Of course, we signed it immediately but you still worry that something might happen. I think I’ve been sleeping with one eye open for the past few weeks!”

The syndicate were thrilled to hand over the all-important ticket and finally see their cheque in person.

“Getting to Dublin to hand over the ticket has been the big thing in our minds since the win so we haven’t even thought past the Winners Room just yet or made a plan for how to celebrate. We will have to do something but the first thing on the list is to hopefully buy a new car and then we’ll see what comes next.”

Meanwhile, tomorrow night’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €3.8 Million.
