Louth player claims Lotto Plus 1 top prize of €1 Million

There was excitement in the National Lottery’s Winners Room this afternoon after a player from Dundalk claimed their Lotto Plus 1 top prize worth an incredible €1 Million.

The winner, who wishes to remain private, spoke of how they felt when they found out they’d won the life-changing prize: “I was in complete shock, you always hope you’re going to win big but you never think it’s actually going to be you!”, they said.

“I waited two months to claim the prize because I really wanted to let the win sink in and come to terms with it. I didn’t want to rush out spending it all! I want to keep life as normal as possible going forward.”

When asked what they might spend their winnings on, the winner replied: “I’m looking forward to going on more holidays and seeing a bit more of the world. I also might get some nicer presents for the family this Christmas!”
