Lotto luck in Meath as €204,038 prize won in Gormanstown

Gormanstown Lotto player one number short €5 million jackpot

The National Lottery is appealing to its Lotto players in Co. Meath to check their tickets this morning as one lucky player in the seaside Meath village of Gormanstown won €204,038 on last night’s Lotto draw (Saturday 6th June).

The winner matched five numbers and the bonus number, winning €204,038. They bought their winning Quick Pick ticket at the Applegreen Gormanstown Service Station, Gormanstown, Co Meath.

The winning numbers from last night’s Lotto draw are: 11, 22, 27, 28, 34, 36 and the bonus number is 45.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “With more than 109,000 Lotto players winning prizes on last night’s draw alone, one of these was just one number short of winning the €5 million jackpot. However, this person has won a hefty Match 5 and bonus prize of €204,038 so we are asking players in Gormanstown and surrounding Meath and North Dublin areas to check those tickets very carefully. If you are this lucky ticketholder, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and please contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements to get your prize.”

There was no winner of the €5,026,216 Lotto jackpot which rolls to an estimated €5.5 million for the next draw on Wednesday 10th June.

The National Lottery has also reminded players that it has extended the period of time that lucky winners can collect prizes due to COVID health restrictions. This means that any lucky winners of Lotto, EuroMillions, Telly Bingo and Daily Millions draws from 9th January 2020 until draws in the week 5th July 2020 will have an extra three months in which they can claim their prize. The prize claims extension applies to winners who purchased their tickets and certain scratch card games in-store, online at www.lottery.ie and via the National Lottery App.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
