A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “With two Lotto jackpot winners in the past week, it would have been incredible to get a third in such a short space of time. Two Lotto players were so close to last night’s €2 million jackpot. We are asking all our players in Wexford to check their tickets very carefully and if you do happen to be this lucky ticketholder please sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize. Additionally, for all our online players in Wicklow, please do check our National Lottery accounts and emails as we will have notified you that you are the lucky winner and we can also begin the process of you claiming your winnings.”

While there was no winner of last night’s €2 million Lotto jackpot, there were more than 67,000 players in Ireland who won prizes. This Saturday’s Lotto jackpot (29th August) will roll to an estimated €2.5 million.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
