National Lottery appeals to all Millionaire Raffle players to check their tickets for New Year’s Eve Draw!

Players from Cavan, Kilkenny and Louth also win €100,000 prizes in Millionaire Raffle

Somebody in Co. Limerick has kicked off 2021 in style by becoming Ireland’s newest millionaire after scooping the whopping €1 million top prize on last night’s National Lottery’s Millionaire Raffle. Millionaire Raffle ticket number 6605 won the top prize of €1 million and it was won by a lucky online player in the Treaty county.

Three further lucky Millionaire Raffle ticketholders in Cavan, Kilkenny and Louth are also celebrating the first day of 2021 having landed three other top tier prizes of €100,000 in the raffle.

With a total of 6,009 players winning prizes of between €500 and €1 million in last night’s draw, the National Lottery has today urged people to check their raffle numbers to see if they have scooped a windfall. As well as top tier prizes, there were ten prizes of €10,000, 30 prizes of €5,000, 165 prizes of €1,000 and 5,800 prizes of €500.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said: “We are calling on all our players who purchased a Millionaire Raffle ticket for last night’s New Year’s Eve draw, either in-store or online to check their tickets carefully to see if they are Ireland’s newest millionaire or indeed to see if they have won one of the other 6,008 cash prizes. If you are one of the big winners of the New Year’s Eve draw, sign the back of the winning ticket and get in touch with the National Lottery claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for the prize to be paid.”

The winning ticket numbers for the three other top tier prizes of €100,000 from Millionaire Raffle prizes are:

• Ticket number 156201 - sold in Tarpey’s SuperValu, Lakelands Retail Park, Dublin Road, Cavan.

• Ticket number 461380 – sold in Crehan & McCabe SuperValu in Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

• Ticket number 115438 – sold in Central News, Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth.

Players can check their tickets at www.lottery.ie to see if they have won one of the 6,005 other cash prizes.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.8 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
