Limerick Lotto Syndicate Wins €65K

Lotto syndicate from Lloyds Pharmacy in Castletroy, Co. Limerick

An ecstatic Lotto syndicate from Lloyds Pharmacy in Castletroy in Co. Limerick collected a €65,099 prize which they won on Wednesday 14th August. Seven of the 20 person syndicate made their way to Lotto HQ to pick up their prize and they celebrated in style even though they missed out on the €10 million jackpot on offer that night by one solitary number.

One of the lucky Limerick syndicate, Rebecca Ryan said: “To come to visit the National Lottery’s Winners Room is probably a once in a lifetime moment which we will cherish forever. We might have narrowly missed out on the €10 million jackpot but this is still a very special moment for us all to celebrate together. Since we got the news last week, we have been absolutely buzzing with all of the excitement and now that we’ve got a taste for winning, we’re hoping that we get back to Lotto HQ very soon to claim an even bigger prize,” she said.

The lucky Quick Pick ticket was sold at the Supervalu store at the Castletroy Shopping Centre on the outskirts of Limerick City.

The Lloyds’s Pharmacy syndicate weren’t the only pharmacy employees who landed a Lotto bonus as a woman who works for a North Dublin pharmacy claimed a cheque for €25,622 this morning too.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language.
