Limerick Lotto player scoops €250,000 in Wednesday night's draw!

Saturday’s Lotto Jackpot heading towards €8 Million estimated

Lotto players in the Dromcollogher area are today being urged to check their tickets carefully after a Treaty County player scooped the top prize of €250,000 in last night’s Lotto Plus 2 draw. The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw at Meaney’s Centra in Dromcollogher, Co. Limerick.

Shop owner Colm Meaney was thrilled to hear that one of his customers was waking up to good news this morning: “It’s always a good time for good news but winning this in the lead up to Christmas really is brilliant timing. We have lots of local customers here in the community and we have already had people in this morning talking about the win. We have had a good few lucky customers through the years across Telly Bingo and EuroMillions so that’s what all the chat has been about today. There’s a real buzz around the place with the €250,000 win so we were all delighted to hear. We’ll probably see even more of our customers in as the day goes on to check their tickets. Hopefully the winner knows just how much their ticket is worth already!”

The winning numbers in the Wednesday 6th December Lotto Plus 2 draw were: 03, 07, 12, 29, 37, 43 and the bonus was 38.

The Limerick winner, who now has a ticket worth €250,000, should sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. The biggest winner in last night’s draw should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize.

The midweek Lotto draw saw over 68,000 players nationwide win prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus games. As there was no outright winner of the €7,564,749 jackpot on offer, Saturday’s Jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €8 Million. The National Lottery are reminding players dreaming of winning big this weekend that Lotto tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the cut-off time for sales at 7:45pm on Saturday evening.
