Limerick has a new Lotto millionaire!

210 players nationwide have benefited from boosted prize funds since 2nd October

Lotto players still have the chance to become the largest Lotto jackpot winner ever seen in Ireland after there was no winner of the €19.06 million jackpot in last night’s draw. While over 178,000 players nationwide won prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, the biggest winner of the night was an online player in Co. Limerick.

As the jackpot remains capped at €19,060,800, the funds that would usually go to the jackpot were instead distributed to the next prize tier at which there was a winner and in last night’s draw, this was the Match 5+Bonus category. Online players in the Treaty county are today being urged to log into their accounts and check their tickets carefully as one lucky player matched five numbers and the bonus to win an incredible €1,034,454.

Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaire purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket online at www.lottery.ie on Friday 3rd December.

The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification to the user’s online account and a separate email has now been sent to the lucky Limerick ticket holder. The online winner should make contact with the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

The winning numbers for last night’s (Saturday 4th December) draw were: 07, 10, 26, 27, 35, 43 and the bonus was 12.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a win for one lucky player in Limerick! An online player has today woken up as Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaire. We are encouraging all of our online players in Co. Limerick to check their accounts and emails very carefully today as one online player matched five numbers and the bonus in last night’s draw to win a life-changing €1,034,454. The Limerick winner should contact our prize claims team who will make arrangements for them to claim their prize. Since Saturday 2nd October, no additional funds have been added to the jackpot which has resulted in players at the Match 5+Bonus and Match 5 categories receiving larger prizes than usual due to the prize roll down. Across the last 19 Lotto draws, we have seen 210 players nationwide who won at the Match 5+Bonus and Match 5 tiers enjoying boosted prize funds due to the jackpot cap.”

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago. In 2020 alone, €254 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
