Here are some of our biggest winners from June!

June was a summer month to remember as FOUR players became overnight millionaires across Lotto, Daily Million and Lotto Plus 1 draws. The month of June also saw two players split a mega jackpot of €12.6 Million and four players scoop the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000!

Lotto

TEN players won big across Lotto games in the month of June, with the first player scooping a whopping €418,978 after matching 5 numbers and the bonus in Wednesday’s 7th June draw. The player, who wishes to keep their win private, purchased the winning ticket on the National Lottery app. They re-lived the moment they discovered they’d won the amazing prize: “I found out the night of the draw. I checked the app and saw all these numbers flash up on my phone, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I didn’t tell anyone at first, I needed a bit of time to process it myself and believe it or not, I went to bed that night and had the best sleep of my life! The next morning, I organised a family get-together over lunch and I thought I’d have a bit of fun with them, so I said I’d won €418 in the Lotto. They were happy out and congratulated me, but then I interrupted their celebrations to say, sorry did I say €418? I meant to say €418,000!!”, laughed the winner.

Three days later in Saturday’s 10th of June draw, three players matched 5 numbers and the bonus to take home a respectable €22,601 each. One of the winning tickets was sold at McHugh’s Spar, Main Street, Ballindine, Co Mayo. The second winning ticket was purchased at Cleary’s Garage, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, and the third was sold at Centra, Woodview Shopping Centre, Old Cratloe Road, Limerick.

It was a HUGE night of wins on Saturday the 17th of June, with TWO players sharing the Lotto Jackpot worth over €12.6 Million. The players from Donegal and Westmeath won a whopping €6,373,878 each!

The Westmeath winner scooped their life-changing share after purchasing their ticket at the Tuthills store at the Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone. Meanwhile, the Donegal player won their €6,373,878 amount after purchasing their ticket at McCarrons Village Shop at Quigleys Point.

Also winning big that night was two players from Dublin and Carlow who matched 5 numbers and the bonus to scoop €61,202 each. One of the tickets was purchased at Supervalu in Ballally Shopping Centre in Dublin 16, while the second winning ticket was sold at Circle K, Junction 5. Rathcrogue, Co Carlow.


Lotto 5-4-3-2-1

A Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 player from Dublin who correctly matched five of the six winning numbers in the main Lotto draw on Saturday 17th of June, scooping the €125,000 prize on a €1 ticket. Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 is a game based upon the results of Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws. In this game players decide how many numbers they play, predicting between one and five of the numbers drawn in Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 or Lotto Plus 2. The top prize in the 6 Number game is a guaranteed €125,000 while the 7 Number game is guaranteed to be €40,000. The winner who was a woman from Dublin, claimed she only recently starting playing the 5-4-3-2-1 game couldn’t believe her eyes when she opened an email from the National Lottery stating she’d won big: “I assumed that there must have been a massive mistake. It’s just incredible to think I’ve won €125,000 after spending just €1. I’m still in complete shock to be honest and will probably need some time to make a plan for the money and wrap my head around the win”, she said. 


Daily Million

In the month of June, one player from Limerick became the 18th National Lottery Millionaire of the year after they scooped the Daily Million top prize of €1 Million in the 9pm draw on the 30th of June. The player purchased their ticket online or on the National Lottery website.


EuroMillions

A Wicklow winner landed a windfall after matching five numbers and one lucky star in the Friday 23rd June EuroMillions draw to win €318,087. The winning ticket was purchased at The Gem on Quinsborough Road in Bray. The Wicklow man explained that it was a few days before he even thought of checking his ticket. “I had the ticket in my pocket all weekend before it even crossed my mind to check it on the Monday after the draw. When I scanned the ticket on the app, I got the message to say ‘You’ve Won Big’ but I had no idea just how much I had actually won. I rang the Claims Department and it was only then that I found out just how big I won. It was a total shock - I’ve never won anything in my life! I have been lucky in other ways in life but never like this. I even had to ring the Claims team back to double check the exact amount because it was so overwhelming hearing it the first time!

The Wicklow winner plans to help family out with his Friday night win: “Family really is the most important thing so I’ll be helping them out as much as I can.”

One week later a EuroMillions player matched 5 numbers in Friday’s June 30th draw to win €26,402. The winning ticket was sold at Applegreen & Gala, Mockmoyne Road, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. 

EuroMillions Plus

In the month of June there were four winners of the EuroMillions Plus top prize, worth €500,000, reigning from the counties Tipperary and Galway.

The first player to take home the whopping €500,000 prize was a player from Co. Tipperary who won the Plus top prize on Tuesday 13th of June. The winning quick pick ticket was purchased at Centra, Old Bridge, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The player bought their ticket the night of the draw and didn’t check until the following morning; “I never check my tickets the night of the draw, because if I did win something, I wouldn’t be able to get a wink of sleep that night. I checked the following morning and nearly took weak! I told my partner who stored it away safely in the cupboard beside our passports –which we also plan to be using a lot more soon!”, he said. “I’m going to hit Grafton Street to buy myself something nice”, laughed his partner. A trip to Switzerland and New York City are just two of the top destinations this couple hope to travel to first following their big win.

On Friday 23rd of June, two players from Galway and Tipperary both scooped the top prize of €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw. The West of Ireland winner purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket at Corrib Oil in Brackernagh, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on the day of the draw while the Tipperary winner purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket at Lidl in Thurles on the day of the draw.

A National Lottery player from Co. Galway picked up a cheque worth €500,000 after scooping the EuroMillions Plus top prize in Friday’s 30th of June draw. The Ballinasloe man who purchased the winning ticket at the EuroSpar store at St. Michael’s Square in Townparks on Friday 30th of June, revealed that he’s been playing the same numbers for the last 12 months: “I’ve been playing the same numbers for the past year. I’ve carefully selected them. I couldn’t believe it when I checked online and saw them all there. I wobbled out to the kitchen to tell my wife the news. I don’t think she believed me at first”, he said.

“His face was grey with shock when he came into the room and then he whispered to me that he thinks he just won half a million euro”, she chirped. 

 “It’s just been so surreal the past week reading the papers and listening to the radio and hearing presenters talk about the big winners from Ballinasloe and we’re sitting there thinking that’s us!”, he added.

 


Telly Bingo

During the month of June, we saw two Snowball winners in Telly Bingo from Dublin and Clare.

On Tuesday 13th of June, the first player from Co. Dublin scooped the Telly Bingo Snowball prize worth €90,005. This winning ticket was sold at Londis in St James’s Hospital, Dublin 8. On Friday, 30th of June the Snowball Prize was won by a player in Clare who scooped a whopping €55,005. The winning ticket was sold at SuperValu in Killaloe, Co Clare.


Scratch Cards

The month of May saw some incredible Scratch Card wins, with six players sharing an incredible €420,000.

This included a whopping €200,000 win on an All Cash Spectacular Scratch Card purchased at Hiney’s Londis of Crossmolina in Ballina, Co.Mayo. The winners admitted that they chose an unusual place to hide their €200,000 Scratch Card: “As soon as I saw the amount on the Scratch Card, I started to worry about where to hide it. I must have spent the last few days going around the house making sure all of the windows and doors were locked at all times. I couldn’t help worrying about what if it was stolen so I decided to put it somewhere where no one would look - I kept it hidden in a fluffy sock at the bottom of the sock drawer”, they said.

€75,000 was won on an All Cash Platinum Scratch Card purchased at Circle K City Avenue on Citywest Road in the Citywest Business Campus in Dublin 22.

Another player was celebrating this month after scratching their way to a €50,000 win on an All Cash Extravaganza Scratch Card that they bought at the Centra store at the Camlin Service Station on the Dublin Road in Longford.

A player from Kilkenny won a handsome €15,000 on an All Cash Gold Scratch Card sold at M & A Supermarkets on Main St, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny

A Wexford woman was delighted to pop into the Winners Room this month to claim the top prize amount of €30,000 on an All Cash Tripler Scratch Card. She purchased her winning Scratch Card at the Daybreak store on the Harbour Road in Courtown. The Sunny South East winner admitted that she did not realise just how much she had won immediately: “When I first scratched the ticket, I saw €10,000 and was over the moon – I never expected to see an amount like that looking back at me! It wasn’t until I was doing a double take that I noticed the “3X” in the Tripler section and realised I had actually won €30,000. Talk about a surprise! I was already celebrating the €10,000 win so I was really jumping for joy then!”

And rounding up the month of wins was a player from Kildare who won €50,000 on a Bingo Multiplier Scratch Card sold at Daybreak in Kilcullen, Co Kildare.
