As temperatures soared towards 30 degrees, things really heated up throughout the month of July and that proved to be particularly true for National Lottery players all over the country.

A Lotto player in Cork finished the month off in style by scooping the top prize of €250,000 in the Lotto Plus 2 draw on Wednesday 28th July. The Rebel County player purchased their winning ticket in Centra Millstreet at West End in Millstreet, Co. Cork. Just a few days later, a player in the sunny south east was celebrating after matching five numbers and the bonus in the Saturday night draw on 31st July. The Wexford winner came within one number of the €8,358,554 jackpot on offer to win €162,228 after purchasing their winning ticket in the Applegreen service station in Millands, Gorey, Co. Wexford.
The third Lotto Plus Raffle promotion of the year took place on Saturday 10th July which saw 92 players get a massive boost to their winnings as the Lotto Plus Raffle was topped up with an additional €1 million. The Lotto Plus Raffle typically sees between 80 and 120 winners of €500 in every draw and as there were 92 Raffle winners on that night, it meant that the boosted prize fund divided out to a prize of €11,370 for each Raffle winner.
Two EuroMillions Plus top prizes of €500,000 were won just a week apart during July. An online player in Dublin scooped the top prize amount in the Friday night draw on 2nd July while a Cavan player followed with a similar win on 9th July after purchasing their winning ticket at the Daybreak shop on the Dublin Road in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan.
A Daily Million Plus player in Limerick scooped the top prize of €500,000 in the 9pm draw on Friday 2nd July. The Treaty County winner bought their winning ticket at the Amber service station on the Old Cork Road. The Limerick top prize win marked the second Daily Million Plus win of €500,000 in the space of a week after a player in Dublin had a similar win on the previous Sunday (27th June).
July was an incredible month for big scratch card wins with nine players from all over Ireland sharing a prize fund of €780,000. The largest scratch card win of the month was a top prize of €500,000 on an All Cash Extravaganza scratch card which was purchased in the Spar Shop and Save store at Portroe Cross in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. Other wins included a €15,000 prize on an All Cash Gold scratch card from Corrigan Service Station in Legga, Moyne, Co. Longford and a €30,000 win on a Cashword Doubler scratch card from Hanrahan Londis, The Faythe, Co. Wexford.
