Ireland’s newest Lotto jackpot winner comes forward to claim €8.5 million!

Tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot set to roll towards €25 million (est)

The National Lottery has today confirmed that the winner of the €8.5 million Lotto jackpot, which was won on Saturday 7th May, has officially made contact to begin the process of claiming their life-changing prize. The Kilkenny jackpot winner purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket, which is now worth an astounding €8,508,720, at Blanchfield’s Centra store on the Main Street in Mooncoin on the day of the draw.

The 7th May jackpot win marked the second winning jackpot ticket that Blanchfield’s Centra has sold. Just over two years ago in December 2019, the Mooncoin store sold a ticket worth over €6.8 million.

We are now making arrangements for the Kilkenny Lotto jackpot winner to claim their life-changing prize.”

Meanwhile, tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €25 million. Tickets can be purchased ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales in-store, through the National Lottery app or online at www.lottery.ie.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 34 years ago.
