The winner shared with the National Lottery the charming story behind her win "A few days ago, I spotted some buns in Healy’s Spar that I couldn’t stop thinking about, so I made the trip back to get them! While I was there, I cashed in a €5 win on a Lucky Line from my Telly Bingo ticket and said to the cashier, ‘Can you give me one of those Christmas Scratch Cards?’"

She tucked the scratch card into her bag and went about her day, unaware that she was carrying a life-changing prize, "I had no idea I was walking around with a €20,000-winning Scratch Card in my handbag! When I finally scratched it, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The first person I called was my twin sister and she was so excited for me."

The winner made the three-and-a-half-hour trip to Dublin to collect her cheque, but her journey included an unexpected moment of kindness "The bus dropped me off in the city centre, and I got talking to a stranger who offered me a lift to the National Lottery.
