Two Lotto players in Dublin and Galway scoop €250,000 Lotto Plus prizes

Circle K Ballymun Dublin has Lotto Plus Winner

Two people in Dublin and Galway will share €500,000 as both were winners of the top prize of €250,000 on last night’s Lotto Plus 2 draw (Wednesday 10th June).

The winning ticket sold in the capital was bought at the Circle K Service Station on the Ballymun Road, Ballymun, Dublin 9. The Lotto Plus 2 prize winner in Galway bought their ticket online. Both winning tickets were sold yesterday.

The winning Lotto Plus 2 numbers are: 01, 06, 09, 11, 33, 36 and the bonus ball is: 45.

A spokesperson from the National Lottery said: “With more than 79,000 players winning prizes on last night’s draw it was a lucky night for many Lotto players across the country. The luckiest of these were our two Lotto Plus winners of €250,000. We are asking our players in Dublin, especially those who played in the Ballymun area, to check their tickets very carefully. If you are this winner please be sure to sign the back of the ticket.”

“As for our Galway winner of €250,000, they will already have been notified by email. If you live in Galway and play Lotto on the National Lottery App or online, please do check your email as there could be a very nice email informing you of your win waiting in your inbox. Both winners can contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements to get your prize.”

In addition, one Cork Lotto player was just one number short of winning the entire €5,414,877 jackpot. However this ticketholder bagged themselves a tidy €45,215 prize for matching five numbers and the bonus ball. This Quick Pick ticket was purchased yesterday at Foley’s Foodstore, Ballydaheen, Cork Road, Mallow, Co Cork.

With no winner of the €5,414,877 Lotto jackpot, Saturday’s jackpot will roll to an estimated €6 million.

The National Lottery has also reminded players that it has extended the period of time that lucky winners can collect prizes due to COVID health restrictions. This means that any lucky winners of Lotto, EuroMillions, Telly Bingo and Daily Million draws from 9th January 2020 until draws in the week 5th July 2020 will have an extra three months in which they can claim their prize. The prize claims extension applies to winners who purchased their tickets and certain scratch card games in-store, online at www.lottery.ie and via the National Lottery App.

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total more than €5.6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 33 years ago. In 2019 alone, €252 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
