Matching 5 numbers and the bonus seemed to be the theme of the month for Lotto players in December, and it started off with three players from Donegal, Wicklow and Laois sharing a prize of €191,421 between them in Wednesday night’s Lotto draw on the 14th of December. Each player took home a handsome €63,807 each. One of the tickets was purchased on Tuesday 13th of December in P O’Neill Newsagents, Bridge End, Ballyshannon Co. Donegal. The second ticket was purchased on the day of the draw in Osbourne’s Centra, Carnew, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, and the third winner was purchased by a player in Co. Laois online or on the National Lottery app.
On the 21st of December a player from Mitchelstown in Cork matched five numbers and the bonus to scoop an amazing €102,027. They purchased the quick pick ticket in Hylands shop on Lower Cork Street, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.

One of the winning tickets was sold at Grants, Dublin St, Dundalk, Louth, another was sold in Spar, Marino Mart, Fairview, Dublin 3 and the third winning ticket was purchased online or on the National Lottery app.
Two weeks later, €41,399 was won in Friday’s 16th December EuroMillions draw after a player matched 5 numbers on a ticket purchased in Applegreen on Abbeyleix Road, Portlaoise, Co Laois.
On the 23rd of December a player from Cork matched five numbers in the EuroMillions draw to win a respectable €17,012. The Cork player purchased their ticket online or in the National Lottery App.

The year came to a close with the highly anticipated Millionaire Raffle draw which saw 6,618 players across the country win prizes of between €500 and €1 million. A Millionaire Raffle ticket holder in Mahon on the outskirts of Cork City ended the year as a National Lottery millionaire after scooping the top prize of €1 million in the New Year’s Eve draw. The winning ticket was purchased at Tesco supermarket in Mahon Shopping centre in Co. Cork. The 31st December draw saw five players from Carlow, Dublin and Kilkenny win €100,000 each. The Carlow player purchased their winning ticket in Rath’s Foodmarket on 4 Pollerton Road, Carlow, while the three Dublin players won their top tier prizes after purchasing their tickets at Dunne Stores in Tallaght, Tuthills in Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and XL store on Main Street Dundrum.
