“When the prize flashed up on the screen, I was thinking it was €100 at first”

Cork player claims €100,000 top prize on online Instant Win Game

An online player in Cork was thrilled to make the trip to Dublin to pick up a cheque for €100,000 after scooping the top prize amount on the €5 Instant Win Game, Springtime Spectacular.

The Rebel County player had to do a double take on the prize amount when they originally played the game.

“When the prize flashed up on the screen, I was thinking it was €100 at first. I wanted to take a screen shot of the amount but when I went into my online wallet, there was nothing there so I went back into the ticket. I began counting zeroes and noticed there was no decimal point between the zeroes and realized that it was the €100,000. I was straight on the phone to the Claims Department to confirm the win and organise my visit to Lotto HQ.”

“People always say things like it’ll never be me who wins the big Jackpot or the top prize but I really believe you have to stay positive about winning. You have to believe that it will happen for it to even be possible. Take me for example – I try to think in terms of when I win and not if I win! It’s certainly paid off now.”

The winner is planning to put the winnings to good use and pay off their mortgage and help out family.
