24/12/2024
Christmas cheer was in full swing at National Lottery headquarters as one Dublin man player claimed his top prize win of €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Friday, 20th December. The player purchased his ticket online through the National Lottery app. This was the second time in two weeks that the player had won, previously claiming €2,000 in the EuroMillions draw.
Speaking to the National Lottery he said: "I was standing upstairs in my house when I checked my ticket online. When I saw the amount of money – I immediately shouted down to my wife “It’s after happening again” – my wife ran up the stairs in a panic, thinking I’ve spilled tea all over the carpet again!”
He added: “My daughter recently got engaged, I am now in the fortunate position to help organise my daughter’s wedding and make it a day to remember!”.
Meanwhile the countdown is on as there is just one week left to go until the highly anticipated Millionaire Raffle which takes place on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday 31st December. Millionaire Raffle will give away an incredible 8,500 cash prizes.
