Ireland’s newest Lotto jackpot winner makes contact with the National Lottery
There were cheers and celebrations in the coastal town of Balbriggan today as Pinewood Stores was announced as the selling location for Saturday night’s winning Lotto jackpot ticket worth €3,931,066.
David Fitzgibbon who has run Pinewood Stores for the past 17 years was delighted to hear that one of his customers had become a multi-millionaire over the weekend.
“What a call to get from The National Lottery! I heard that the winning ticket was sold in Dublin but never guessed that it was here. The store is situated in the heart of a local community here in Balbriggan so it’s lovely to think that one of our regulars may have had a huge win over the weekend. I’d imagine there were huge celebrations on Saturday night after the draw. It’s a massive amount to win so I am delighted for the winner. I wish them all the very best and hope they enjoy their big win.”

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner has made contact and arrangements are now being made for them to claim their life-changing prize.
So far this year, the Lotto jackpot has been won by players in Limerick (2), Dublin, Meath, Donegal and Westmeath. The North County Dublin winner has taken the title of 19th National Lottery millionaire of 2023.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on all National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage, and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 35 years ago.
